Become a Farm & Food Leader
This year ORIS will be hiring 12 youth intern participants to work on site at Fresh Start Farms in Dunbarton, as well as participate in Manchester's area farmers markets and farm stands. Participants will have a direct impact on local foods and will learn an extensive amount of information regarding food justice, health and nutrition, food insecurity and more. Participants will get to experience the entire farming process from seed to table, understanding the entire process. This internship is a very hands-on experience that provides teambuilding, growth & development, leadership skills, as well as a sense of empowerment.
New highlights for 2017 include an expanded student garden, 2nd year mushroom study, advanced Integrated Pest Management, irrigation techniques, gleaning, and new food justice segments.
These positions are PAID positions so if you are serious about becoming a Farm & Food Leader, please apply as soon as you can as this will be a competitive process.
ORIS is a proud partner of both the My Turn and NH JAG programs.
